Busy as a Bee. October 27, 2011

I thought senior year would be super relaxed compared to my other three years in high school, but of course, I was wrong! This year is a different kind of busy; I’m not busy doing homework and studying surprisingly, I’m getting ready for graduation! Ahh! It’s crazy. I can’t believe I’m finally finishing something I’ve spent almost 13 years working for.

I turned in my cap and gown order yesterday and it made me realize I need to start preparing for all the things going on the end of next May! I’ve started by making a list of who I want to invite to my graduation/open house. I then started looking at open house invitations and thank you cards, and I’ve realized all that stuff is super expensive if you actually want something nice! So I decided I’m going to see if my older brother will design my open house invitations, and I’m going to make my own thank you cards. I hope this all works out!

A few side notes:

*So far I have gotten accepted into University of Southern Indiana and Olivet University, but I’m still waiting on my top two     choices, IUPUI and Ball State!

*Coldplay came out with their new album, Mylo Xyloto, and I strongly recommend checking it out!

*The Black Keys have a new song out, and the video is quite amusing!

Have a great rest of the week!

Octoberrrr. October 20, 2011

I love October for many reasons: the weather, Halloween, fall food and all that stuff, but today is just a gross day. It’s my fall break and I would like to do some fun things, but how am I supposed to enjoy the fall when it’s 40 degrees and rainy?? I’m just glad the rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice.

The one thing I hate about October is EVERYBODY wears pink. I’m tired of. I say this all month, and I’m sure some people get tired of me saying it, but it’s annoying. Why does breast cancer get it’s own month? It has the highest survival rate. I understand we need to support every person who has breast cancer, but why not support every person who has cancer. Is there even a cancer awareness month? If there is, I have never heard of it. So they aren’t raising much awareness. Wearing pink is just a fashion statement. Would people actually wear lavender ribbons to support all cancers? Who knows, all I know is I’m ready to make a change, and someway or another I will!

That’s my speech for the day. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day! :)

So.. I wanted to try this. I was inspired by my sister-in-law, Erin, who also has a blog, and I love it. I love writing my thoughts down, and maybe I need to start sharing them with people. I know I seem like I’m a quiet person and don’t have a lot to say, but I’m almost the opposite. I like to express myself in different ways. I’m not a fan of yelling out who I am. So I think this is my way of letting the world know what is on my mind.
